Newgate was founded in January 2022 and is based in the gate technology hub next to the TUM Campus in Garching. While the company itself is still young, the development of its technological groundwork was started as early as 2017.

Newgate is part of the TU Munich Entrepreneurship Ecosystem and is supported by UnternehmerTUM as well as the Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship.
